Lake city is located in East Tennessee along
Interstate 75 partially in Anderson County and Campbell County.
The closest metropolitan area is Knoxville, which is 15 miles south
of Lake City. Lake City is 37 miles from the
Tennessee/Kentucky state line. The city is located in the
Cumberland Mountain chain and has an elevation of 866 feet.
